Haven't had the time to sit and write a thought provoking post unlike some. Ok ok.. I admit that I shouldn't blame time as much as not having anything good to write about besides some random unrelated thoughts:
  • I would be happy if I never had to wrap another gift again. By the way, hallmark brand wrapping paper is by far the best since it is made of sturdier material and have the dotted lines in the back which makes cutting the paper easier... but I digress...
  • Still attempting to patiently wait for George R.R. Martin's next book in the A Song of Ice and Fire Series. If you haven't read these series yet, do so now.
  • I finally found a Wii for my daddy without having to pay above msrp or waiting in the bleak cold early morn with hungry Christmas shoppers. Got mine on amazon in the comforts of my own bed thanks to a text alert from wiialerts.com as soon as they were in stock.
  • Just created a yelp account but have yet to write any reviews for restaurants. Anyone else on this thing?
  • There's something so attractive about Edward Norton. *sigh*
  • And last but not least... it all comes back to WoW. I need to transfer to another battlegroup because the AV queues are ridiculously long on mine. :(
And now some pics from Cookie's first snow day... and no, she's not missing a leg. She was trying to keep her feet warm and kept switching back and forth holding up her front leg. You'd think I kept her out there for more than the 3 minutes we were. -_-"

cookie's cute

as for a song of fire and ice, i'm trying to keep from reading series that haven't been completed yet. i followed the wheel of time for 11 books and then robert jordan pass away last fall without completing the series. i've also been waiting (first impatiently, now just wistfully) for the past 3+ years for the final book of melanie rawn's exiles trilogy (the captal's tower) to be written. you can understand how i'm a little wary of unfinished series.

i have read through a feast for crows and appreciate the story and his willingness to kill off characters, though i'm not always too fond of whom he kills off.

thanks for the suggestions. i've actually become hooked on both sweet relationship ¬ü¨ýÃö«Y (episode 16 of 18) and bullfighting °«¤ûn¤£n (episode 7 of 20). i find myself looking forward to sunday evening every week so i can download the newest episodes and watch my vicarious lives unfold. i'm also watching it started with a kiss 2: they kiss again 恶§@¼@2§k, though i'm much less emotionally involved in that one.

i actually own both say yes enterprise ¨D±B¨Æ°È©Ò and come to my place ¨Ó§Ú®a§a. SYE still ranks as my all-time favorite taiwanese drama and i go back and re-watch bits of it to feel all the happiness and goodness all over again. i'm not a big fan of rainy or alan/show, so i've avoided both ´«´«·R and Âਤ*¹J¨ì·R. but you're the second person to recommend them, so maybe i'll get around to watching.

other favorites of mine include ¤ß°Ê¦C¨® (love train), ·R±¡¦X¬ù (love contract), Ô³¾e¤H (lovebird), ¾Ô¯« (mars) and §ÚÌµ²±B§a (marry me!).

happy new year!

Thanks for the words of encouragement mimmie! It's been a difficult road getting to just the BEGINNING of this journey...but it's well worth it!

you should try love train. the format is similar to say yes enterprise and i think the choices that the characters make are similar too.

yeah, i was initially questioning why hebe's character would choose mike he's character over lee wei's character... but it gets better (at least for me), as ruo he develops feelings for sheng xue and acts on them. admittedly, the jump is a little random, but i guess that's why it's a drama and not real life.

as to why the girl never realizes what's beside her, i think it's human nature to be far-sighted in relationships, unable to see what's close to us. and besides, if you grew up with a guy and thought of him as a brother, wouldn't be weird if he started liking you?
