How fitting to have spent the past month fixing bugs at work to later actually 'catching' a bug at work. Yes, I have gotten sick and let me tell you... it ain't pretty. Some coworkers have mentioned how lucky I am to be able to stay home. I certainly don't feel that way being too unconscious to enjoy the extra free time... so woozy that I am unable to complete this post in just one sitting. But still no complaints here since I got to curl up with my doggy and slumber, albeit not so peacefully sneezing every oh- 5 minutes.
An example of how delirious I was today: I had an important meeting this afternoon so they allowed me to hold a conference call. Everything went smoothly-- on their end. On my end, I was in constant battle with my nose which has seemingly made up its mind to continually drip until the end of mankind. Then someone in the room asked me how sick I was. Being heavily seadated from a powerful combination of NyQuil and Therflu, I heard "Mimmie, how thick are you?" Of course this was just cause for the longest awkward pause on my end while I think to myself how thick am I? Huh? That just doesn't make sense. Did I miss some joke during the meeting while I was blowing my nose? what the...? o_O Then there was a silence on their end so I offer a lame, "huh?" Then it hits me... oooh, how SICK am I? That makes a whole lot more sense! hahaha... I'm just glad I didn't answer, "how thick am I? I dunno I'm pretty skinny..."
