  • This is my way of trying to reassure myself that I will (and must) do well on my Organic Evolution test tomorrow. Positive thinking can always lead to a positive self-fufilling prophecy, eh? Well, it can’t hurt anyways. Or it could be a sign of me using this post to procrastinate. I’m assuming that the latter is more likely considering that I’ve been playing Bejeweled for an hour and it has just dawned on me that my already clean room needs to be re-organized. :) I promise that I will continue studying after this post. I’m just glad that my two favorite shows Medium and Grey’s Anatomy are not on tonight or else I’d be in really big trouble!
To SanDisk and Sony: PLEASE, PLEASE  hurry up and make more 1Gig Memory Stick Duos! I need one for my PSP that is collecting dust now. Please hear my plea and not be backordered! I’ll give you until tomorrow or you’ll see one angry little asian girl on your doorsteps!

  • I watched Shutter yesterday and although I was fine yesterday, now I’m scared of every sound in my house (being home alone at the moment). My doggie is not much a guard dog being smaller than a teddy bear. And I don’t think ghosts are scared of dogs anyways. I don’t know why I love scary movies so much, yet I’m the one who gets creeped out the most. I do recommend this movie though. It’s a Thai movie with English subs. It’s not corny and there are no holes in the well-developed story. And unlike most horror flicks, it doesn’t have that stupid “scare you” moment at the end to suggest a sequel. I must have screamed throughout the whole movie while hiding underneath my blankets most of the time. Quite a sight I was.

Yesterday night, I went out to Cafe Asia with Qui and posse. We then ended the night at Daedalus which surprisingly was more fun than usual but then again I did have more drinks than usual. Basically it was the same old same old, but it was good to catch up with everyone and get out of the house.

So now that brings me to today, home alone… and jumping at every sound I hear. *sigh* no more scary movies for me…. well, not today at least. You’d laugh if you could see me now. I’ve got all the lights on (in broad daylight) and I’m smothered with blankets because you know, blankets are really going to save me from the ghosts. hehehe… *gulp*

  • Didn’t do much today except laze around and read another Philippa Gregory novel while listening to Jay Chou’s Incomparable Concert CD. And instead of practicing for my upcoming piano recital, I watched soap operas and Oprah. Pretty uneventful, but yet procrastination is just so much fun. Plus, my doggie was sleeping on my lap for hours and I didn’t have the heart to wake him up.

I am in desperate search for a 1Gig Memory Stick Duo for my PSP. It seems to be sold out all over the country. I’ve tried every online store, too. There are some shady people on Ebay who have jacked up their prices to feed the need of all those new PSP owners. But I will not cave and buy an overpriced memory stick… well at least I hope I don’t. *sigh*

They need to make more games for the PSP, too. They have like 15 sports games but only one platformer and NO RPG games!!! What’s up with that? We asians need some games to play, too! And of course I can’t buy the games from Japan or Taiwan because the PSP is region coded. Gosh darn. Can someone mod my PSP so that it can play region 3 (Asia)? But other than that and the fact that I can’t find a darn memory stick, I’m very happy with my PSP.

Ok, enough complaining. My cousin is visiting from New York tomorrow. He’s planning on getting his masters of entomology at University of Maryland. Can’t wait to see him!

  • Yesterday, a million Taiwanese citizens held a “March for Democracy and Peace for Taiwan” to protest against the anti-secession law enacted by China on March 14. China’s law would enable them to declare war on Taiwan to force them to lose their government based on Democracy that has lasted over 40 years. For these past decades, Taiwan has demonstrated their independence from China by electing their own presidents and rejecting communism. Since then, Taiwan has prospered and the tiny country has surpassed many others in GDP and have become a loud voice for democracy. The Chinese Government upon seeing Taiwan’s wealth and potential for a strategic military base (taiwan being a island positioned perfectly in Asia) have shown interest in “taking back” the peaceful Taiwan by military force. The march was also held in LA, D.C., Hong Kong, and Japan. America and Japan are Taiwan’s greatest allies.  My daddy was among the supporters in the march held in Washington, D.C. And of course, all my relatives marched in the one in Taiwan. They said all they had to do was walk right outside their door because people were lined up all over the streets of Taipei. They said it was quite a touching and healing march not to mention a fun “outdoor” social event. Being a Taiwanese-American, I truly understand the meaning of freedom and democracy and deeply pray that my relatives in Taiwan will not have to lose their way of life and be forced into Communistic rule by China. • After 2 years of dormancy, I have finally decided to update my xanga with exciting news. No no… no wedding, no pregnancy, or that sort of thing. I brought home a PSP today. ’nuff said.

I also wanted to start up my xanga again so that my little sister Jane can have something to read at work. :)

So what have I been up to lately? Honestly, nothing much. I am quite excited though about a new peer to peer piano sheet music swapping site at pianofiles. Now I can find all the Jay Chou piano scores I wanted to play!

Let’s just say that I have fallen in love with my new PSP. The picture quality is flawless and it plays games, movies, and mp3s. It also stores all the pictures my little Canon Digital Elf can take. So much for the iPod, this is MUCH better. I’m going to go back to drooling over it now. ta ta~*

  • Ok. I may have used up my supply of brain cells. Sitting amongst my fellow classmates, you could literally feel the tension and shaken nerves in the air. One student glances at the other with a look of fear in his eyes. Ah… yes, exam day has arrived once again. But hey, I’ll be ok, right? I’ve studied all month like a no-life nerd. I’ll be fine.. no problem. I look at the first problem and think to myself… oh, just an easy find the standard free energy change over time problem. hehehe… yep that part was no problem. Now, let me just see here… need to convert hours to seconds first. the time ticks away as I wonder to myself, there ARE 60 minutes in an hour, right??? uh oh.. how many seconds are there in one minute then? Yep my friends… I was so stressed that I had forgotten how many seconds there were in a minute. Yeah, it’s those easy common sense stuff that I have problems with. Then I spent the next couple of minutes cursing myself for taking so darn long and pondering about just who the hell came up with 60 sec equaling a min? why not just make it 100? sigh……. it’s been a long day.

  • [Saturday] …

I decided to give my brain a break today, figuring that dreaming about the molecular structure of the T4 virus may be a sign of overworking myself. Went out for some dessert with Richard guh guh who once again got to witness how clumsy I am. Let’s just say stairs, tables, and walls are all out to get me. And as Jane remembers… so are Metro closing thingamajigies. Yes, I am too accident prone. It’s a wonder that I’m not covered with bruises. But we did still manage to have a great time and share some great laughs. Thanks guh guh!
